Tomorrow is the Day!!

Launch Day is TOMORROW! I cannot believe how fast the time has past! So much has happened since my last post and time has flown. I will add my story about sharing Stinky Sheldon Saves the Day with the Kindergarten class in Ghana after Launch Day is over.

A link that will take you to Amazon to be able to purchase Mini-Max Stands Up will be on the website tomorrow. It is so exciting to have the story be shared and the lesson of standing up for yourself and your friends being heard.

I hope that you will be a part of Launch Day tomorrow and purchase a copy…or two of the Mini-Max Stands Up!

I am back and I have GREAT news!

It has been such a long time since I have written on the blog…..but that doesn’t mean I haven’t been writing! I have written the another book about another character in the Wee Woods. This time the story is about Max Mole. Max learns a very valuable lesson with the assistance of his slightly older cousin, Milton Mole. I won’t tell you any more as that would ruin the surprise!

“Mini-Max Stands Up” will be launched on September 10, 2024. It will be a day to remember. Sometimes I have to pinch myself that I have written 2 children’s picture books.

In my next blog, I will tell you all about ready “Stinky Sheldon Saves the Day” to a Kindergarten class in Todje, Ghana, West Africa.

An Update

It has been going very well since March 21st. I have had a table in 2 Spring Bazaars (a few sales but lots of contacts made), visited 1 private school and 2 daycares. I am still getting used to signing books and having my picture taken.

The stuffies that Amanda from :The Fuzzie Jungle” made for me have been a BIG hit! I am still amazed how they look like the characters!

My next big event is on Canada Day, July 1st. I will be reading my book at the Fergus Canada Day celebration that is put on by the Rotary Club. There will be a Story corner and local authors will be reading, and I was asked to read. This is so exciting! I will let you know how it goes.

Well that is all for now!

Cheers!

It has been 1 Month!

I cannot believe that a month ago was my Book Launch day! Things have been going really well! Thank you to all who have purchased Stinky Sheldon! I am hoping that you are enjoying the story1 Aren’t the characters just the cutest!

I have been in touch with a couple of schools and hopefully will be doing school visits soon. Sheridan United Church is having their Spring Bazaar on April 29th. I will be there selling and signing my books. I have a couple of other plans in the works that I will let you in on soon.

Today, April 22, I will be at the Toastmasters International District 86 Conference for their Author’s Corner, The Conference is virtual and if you are attending, please drop into the Breakout Room and visit between 12:30 and 1:30!

Have a wonderful day!

Today is Book Launch Day!

This will be a day to remember for me! It is right up there with the birth of my 3 children. You may ask, WHY? Well Stinky Sheldon Saves the Day is like my 4th baby. It is something I had dreamed of and now the day is here! Stinky Sheldon was written to bring joy to children, add to their love of books and most importantly help them to become kinder to one another.

I hope that if you purchase a copy of Stinky Sheldon Saves the Day you will enjoy the characters and the story.

Can You Believe It?

I cannot believe that 2 weeks tomorrow will be my Launch Day! It is exciting and a bit nerve-wracking at the same time…if that can happen!

This achievement has been momentous for me. As time went on, I realized that the chances of me ever writing a book and having that book published was slowly getting smaller. When I saw the information on Miriam Laundry’s Webinar on “How to Write a Children’s Book”, I suddenly realized that maybe my chances just increased. I thought about attending the Webinar for days and came to the decision that if I didn’t do it now, I would probably never do it. I knew that I didn’t want to say to myself “I wonder what if I had attended the Webinar? Would I have written a book and had it published?” So rather than living with the regret of the what if, I said I will and registered and attended the Webinar and as the saying goes “the rest is history!”

On March 21st you will be able to see the results of my decision!

Only 21 days to go!

I cannot believe that in 21 days, one of my biggest dreams is going to be a reality…my children’s picture book will be published. Reading to my students and my own children was the time of the day I loved the most. I cannot wait until my book is in my hands and I can read it to my grandson Matteo.

I hope that you will purchase a copy of Stinky Sheldon Saves the Day to read to your children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, neighbours or students. I will post the link to purchase it on March 21st.
